In the summer season, 30 new anime series begins, and each of them can see a lot of content. Here is a list of top three particularly interesting new summer shows, suitable for beginners or longtime fans.
SAGA VINLAND
Located mainly in England, controlled by Denmark in the 11th century, the story follows a small group of Vikings under the command of Askeladd. Traveling with his group of mercenaries is a young man named Thorfinn, who constantly tries to kill Askeladd, killing Thorfinn’s father before him long ago. But this small Viking company is unwittingly dragged into the battle for succession between the two dukes of Denmark when they are hired to help the Danish invasion of London.
Manga Vinland Saga seemed more likely in the case of western live adaptation than the anime version, both for the theme and for its detailed and meticulous art. But Wit Studio is ready for work. Between Attack on Titan and The Ancient Magus’ Bride, the studio showed a tendency to portray ancient European environments. Furthermore, the series is adapted by Hiroshi Seko, who wrote a composition from a two-season series Mob Psycho 100 (one of the best concerts of 2019) and Ain (a great supernatural political thriller).
STONE
A sudden flash of light turns everyone on the ground into stone. Thousands of years pass and after almost all the remains of modern civilization have been recognized by nature, the Japanese high school student Taiju can free himself from petrification. The message engraved on a nearby tree takes him to his old friend Senku, who also managed to free himself. Senku wants to use his scientific knowledge to rebuild civilization, free other fossils, and discoveries, which made the light shine.
Manga Dr. Stone started working on the American version of Weekly Shonen Jump a few years ago and it is a fascinating series, based largely on Senku, which shows how to create the things they need to survive. Not only fire, or simple tools such as axes, but things like glass, gunpowder, and batteries. Seeing how complicated and difficult it is to do things that we often take for granted is extremely interesting, even if the speed with which characters can do things is somewhat fantastic.
Death Note
Death Note is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. The story follows Light Yagami, a high school student who stumbles across a mysterious book called a death note. There are many interesting characters as the season develops. One of the best-animated characters is L who is a detective. Death note is a serious thriller and interesting series. That makes it must watch animated series of all time.
Final Words
Most of these programs are available for viewing the day after the broadcast in Japan thanks to streaming services such as Amazon, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Netflix. In addition to these seven shows, three series (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Fruits Basket and Carole and Tuesday) from our anime preseason last summer.
